Budapest|Hungary (Saturday, 10th March 2012)

On Saturday we got up at 7:15. At 8:30 we went to a cave by bus. The cave was a limestone cave. We went on a guided tour. We saw dripstones and bats. At 12:30 we ate a pizza for lunch. It was very delicious. 

 

After lunch we did many funny experiments at the Magic Park. At 3:00 p.m. we watched a magic show there with many tricks. Then we went shopping. At 6.00 p.m. we had dinner (chips, rice, meat, vegetables).

 

After dinner we went to the Statue of Liberty on Gelert hill. From there we had a great view over Budapest by night.

 

Budapest|Hungary (Friday, 9th March 2012)

At 7:45 a.m. we ate breakfast. After that we started going to the parliament. When we arrived there, we started a guided tour in English through it. The parliament is in the Buda part of Budapest. You can see 365 towers - one for every day of the year - there. In the dome hall we saw the crown of the former kings of Hungary. 

Then we went back to school for lunch. After lunch we were off to the castle with our Hungarian and Slovenian friends. We walked around the city which is in the Buda part, too. Later we visited a 200-year-old church. Finally, we arrived back at school and had dinner. It was delicious.

Budapest|Hungary (Thursday, 8th March 2012)

On Thursday we got up at quarter past seven. After breakfast (eight o´clock) we went into the big city by underground and walked to the city hall where we met the deputy mayor who told us a few words and gave us presents. 

 

We were very happy because the people were so nice to us. After that we went shopping in a wonderful, big shopping mall. Then we went back to school by metro. Going by metro was very new for us. In the school we had had lunch before we had a break in the hotel. 

 

In the afternoon we listened to an amazing concert of the Hungarian kids and went to school for dinner. Finally we enjoyed the wonderful views of Budapest by night. We talked to the Slovenian kids and made new friends.
