Budapest|Hungary (Friday, 9th March 2012)

At 7:45 a.m. we ate breakfast. After that we started going to the parliament. When we arrived there, we started a guided tour in English through it. The parliament is in the Buda part of Budapest. You can see 365 towers - one for every day of the year - there. In the dome hall we saw the crown of the former kings of Hungary.

Then we went back to school for lunch. After lunch we were off to the castle with our Hungarian and Slovenian friends. We walked around the city which is in the Buda part, too. Later we visited a 200-year-old church. Finally, we arrived back at school and had dinner. It was delicious.

Maribor|Slovenia (Day 4 – Wednesday 30th November)

On Wednesday we started at 7.45 am to go by bus to Ljubljana, the capital city of Slovenia. After 2 hours and a stopover in between we arrived there. The first stop was the castle which was on a hill. We went up there by a lift. A tourist guide showed us around the castle.

At the beginning we found out what and how people in the medieval ages ate for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We also looked at an original glass from that time. That was quite interesting. Then we went to the castle restaurant where weh ad a wonderful original Slovenian 3 cours lunch with soup, chicken and dessert. In the afternoon we went back to Maribor with a stopover in Cjelje where we could go shopping or drink a coffee.

In the evening we arrived the school and had our last dinner there. After that we thanked the Slovenian teachers and pupils and gave them our presents. We said „Goodbye“ and went back to our hotel to pack our luggage. We really enjoyed the great time in slovenia and look forward to going to Hungary next year.

Maribor|Slovenia (Day 2 – Monday 28th November)

It’s Monday morning and we had to get up at quater past seven because we all met for breakfast in the hotel at 8. At nine o’clock we walked up to school and as we arrived many pupils stared at us. This was very strange.
After we watched the school we went into an English lesson of the class 9a and listened to a presentation on the electric blackboard. It was done by four girls of the class. After that we watched the movies about our schools again. Then we went for a little snack into the cafeteria. The bread with cream cheese and green pepper was very tasty. We were fit for the English lesson with Marjetka and the class 7a. We talked about food and were completely involved.
Then we watched little kids (in Year one) dancing and singing for us. This was very cute. The P.E. lesson with funny boys and powerful girls of class 5a was also great. Because we played a ball game. So we earned our lunch, I think.
Everyone got the same  food with a little choice between different desserts. We went back to the hotel when we finished eating. We took our stuff and went out for shopping. (YEAH) There are many known stores and we had a lot of fun during shopping. Except for Mr. Spillner who worked and relaxed at the hotel.
After shopping we walked together to the school. The slovenian kids made a nice program for us. They showed us their great talents as dancers or musicians. After that the Hungarian, Slovenian and the Germans made food and ate it together. Then we walked very tired but impressed back to our hotel.
